N Resort has blossomed since our last visit in December. Plants and shrubbery have matured and the beach has more sand; yet some things remained constant - quality meals and outstanding, friendly service. This is not a resort for the all-night party crowd or the “drink ‘til you drop” bunch. This is a nude resort with a nice beach, a big pool with a water-slide, all staffed by people who really care. Located about 30 minutes from the Montego Bay Sangster Airport, this is a place for couples - a place to sit by the pool with your partner, a good book, and a Red Stripe. This is the place for a long walk up the beach - there is nothing for two or three miles. This is a place for an unrushed meal, either with friends or just together.
The rooms are located along the ocean east of the port city of Falmouth. You can see the large cruise ships as they dock there for a day with their masses, but not have to fight the mob. Each of the ten buildings is made of knotty pine, and the rooms are large and have everything you need. The large king-sized bed is surmounted by a mosquito net (which was not needed),
How Romantic ;)
Room with a REAL Ocean View!
and a small fridge, phone, desk, day-bed, TV, and safe are included. There is WIFI in all rooms (AND IT'S FREE), but if you didn’t bring your computer, you can use the one near the main desk. The oceanfront rooms are really ocean-front!
Your balcony comes with either two chairs and a table or a daybed and a table and is almost in the water. The ocean-view rooms are a little further back, but have real ocean views. The garden view rooms are currently not in use.  The rooms are rustic looking but quite comfortable, but, frankly, I was in our room only at night and during one afternoon thunderstorm.
The meals were delicious. The cuisine was a mix of American and Jamaican dishes. My favorite was probably breakfast with a large selection of goodies, including custom made omelets. Lunch was a choice - eat at the pool bar or the main dining room.
YUM!
Both were good choices. The evening menu varied from day to day. At least three to six main entrees, including vegetarian, were offered. One night was a beach night with a fire-eater as entertainment followed by dancing on the beach. Every night was different. The Italian restaurant was open two nights, along with the main dining room. The Italian is the Jamaican version of Italian adapting some of the local vegetables and  spices. People are requested to dress for the main dining room, as required by Jamaican law. What is considered “dressed” is open to your interpretation - pareos and loincloths were in vogue, although in the evening, sport shirts, shorts and sundresses were seen.We were at the resort during Halloween. The decorations, meals, and entertainment were outstanding. A number of “deceased” performers were starred, including the late Michael Jackson who arrived with glove, in a custom fitted casket. The guests joined in with costumes, and a lucky couple received three free nights. “Pirate’s night” also saw many guests in costumes of one sort or another. Some participated, others didn’t, but everyone had a good meal. The greatest obstacle to overcome was “sand gravity” - the tendency to park on the beach or by the pool and luxuriate.
Can't you just see yourself laying there?
For those interested, there are two tennis courts, with a resident tennis pro, water aerobics, water volleyball, and a water-slide competition, along with other poolside
games. A glass-bottom boat was available most mornings, weather permitting, and a snorkeling trip was scheduled. A Jamaican cooking demonstration was done one day by Chef Jeffrey Martin, winner of the “Best inJamaica” competition in 2008.For those desiring pampering, spa treatments, massages, and hair styling are available at a reasonable rate. While we were there, there were about sixty guests present. This provided a nice number to support activities. The one thing that really impressed me was the quality of service. The entire staff was dedicated to make our vacation the best.

Drink anyone?
See you in Jamaica!
Dates of visit - October 25 - November 1, 2011.

SuperClubs to buy UDC stake in Bloody Bay hotel - Business - Jamaica Gleaner - Thursday | April 5, 2012

Avia Collinder, Business Writer for the Gleaner
The SuperClubs hotel group says it is in the process of buying out its partner, the Urban Development Corporation (UDC), which owns half of the Breezes Grande Negril, a 200-room resort sitting on 22 acres at Bloody Bay.
To book any of the fine SuperClub resorts call 888 8CLASSY
The property was once known as Grand Lido Negril.
SuperClubs' vice-president of marketing and environmental affairs, Zein Issa-Nakash, said the hotel group accepted an offer from the Jamaican Government for its stake in the property.
The price was not disclosed.
SuperClubs has controlled the asset since 2000. Chairman John Issa used Village Resorts to partner with the UDC to buy the property from a Finsac-controlled company called International Hotels.
Each paid half of the US$9 million for the stake in the property, beating out a similarly priced offer from Guardian Life, according to Finsac disclosures at the time.
Issa-Nakash said Monday that the original purchase resulted in each entity owning 50 per cent of the hotel.
The UDC said in response to Financial Gleaner queries that its 50 per cent holding in the hotel is held through the company Bloody Bay Hotel Development Limited, and that the sale was being handled on its behalf by the Development Bank of Jamaica's (DBJ) National Enterprise Team.
Not finalised
UDC said a sale deal had not been finalised.
"The consideration for this transaction ... is still in progress and no agreement has yet been arrived at. The ownership structure therefore remains unchanged," said the UDC corporate communications office.
DBJ, in turn, refused to confirm that it had approached SuperClubs or otherwise clarify whether the asset was publicly tendered.
"The DBJ is not at liberty to divulge any information regarding the transaction as the privatisation is in progress," said spokeswoman Claudette White on Tuesday.
"Once the transaction is concluded the press will be advised."
SuperClubs, meanwhile, is closing the deal on the sale of another hotel it also bought from Finsac in 2000, now known as Breezes Trelawny Resort & Spa. The buyer and terms of that sale have not been disclosed.
The property will be shuttered on May 31 to facilitate its takeover by the new owner.
The sale cuts the portfolio of SuperClubs properties to 10 hotels, half of which are in Jamaica.
SuperClubs exited lease management agreements for 250-room Breezes Rio Bueno, formerly known as Grand Lido Braco; the 225-room Breezes Superfun Runaway Bay in 2011, and the 124-room Breezes Montego Bay in 2009.
"Braco and Superfun were hotels that we had leased and those lease agreements had come to an end," Issa-Nakash said. "This - Breezes Trelawny - is the first hotel that was purchased from us."
The properties which remain under the brand are: Breezes Bahamas, Breezes Buzios in Brazil, and three hotels in Cuba - Breezes Varadero, Breezes Balla Costa and Breezes Jibacoa; and Hedonism II Negril, Rooms Ocho Rios, Rooms Negril, Breezes Grand Negril and Breezes Runaway Bay.
"Of the ten hotels left, half are owned; the others are leased or managed," said Issa-Nakash. "We still have five hotels operating in Jamaica which is not an insignificant number."
In a market where Spanish investors have redefined the size of large hotels in the past decade with properties of up to 1,000 rooms, Issa-Nakash now identifies a big challenge facing the SuperClubs chain as its "relatively small size with rising costs; so, our strategy is to try and expand the size of the hotels we operate."
Breezes Bahamas will be tackled within the next 12 months.
"We have approved working drawings for an expansion of Breezes Bahamas," said Issa-Nakash.
The chain has continued the shuttering of its larger properties on the island, with the latest being Breezes Trelawny Resort & Spa, which, the group states, has been sold to an overseas operator and which will close on May 31 after 10 years of operation.

Farewell "Champagne Sam" SuperClubs has lost a GEM!

Any of you that have been going to SuperClubs for any length of time know Sam James.  Some of us know him as "Champagne Sam".  He was at one time the GM of Hedonism II, Grand Lido Negril and Grand Lido Braco.  It is with sadness for me, but for Sam great joy .... after 27 year with the SuperClubs, he has retired!

You will be missed Sam!
May your Champagne flow for many years to come and all your bubbles be crisp and light.

Just Got Back from N-Resort Jamaica

Another glowing report of the Newest Nude Resort in Jamaica
To Book this Awesome Resort call:

N Resort Jamaica

I have been back from N Resort  for 1 week now and I still have the place on my mind. We have been to almost  every resort in Jamaica that you can be nude and  this one is my favorite. I really liked how small the place is and how  private it is. No worries that someone from outside the resort walk by, they  cannot. There was no one too been seen! There is the little place called  Time N Place just next door but we never saw anyone there the whole time we  were there. If you go for a walk along the beach as soon as you pass Time N  Place you could walk for about an hour nude with no chance of seeing anyone,  if you do see someone they are from N resort, it truly is a nice walk and  worth enjoying every day. As for the resort…. It is a very nice place, the  pool is right in the middle of the resort with a waterslide that I am not  sure they will keep it too much longer, there was talk when we were there to  maybe take the slide out to be able to use the swim up bar better, right now  the slide blocks it off quite a bit. The pool is a good size and a good area  for volleyball. The staff was very nice and discreet, the service was good  and the food was very good. The cleaning ladies did a wonderful job of  keeping the room clean twice a day, always fresh towels and never missed  anything in the room. The day bed on the balcony was a plus, when you want  to just relax or have a morning coffee this was a great place to sit and  look at the ocean. We spent every night sleeping with the windows open;  sleeping with the sound of the waves, not using the A/C in Jamaica was a first for me but  with the rooms being so close to the ocean the breeze was good, we slept  like babies….. As for the drinks, they were good and yes they do have top  shelf alcohol and the beer is Red stripe. The resort even provided drink  service on the new dock that was built on the ocean and lunch service around  the pool. Freddie the manager was always around and takes the time to talk  to the guest for their opinion and input. He is a very nice man. The days  were lazy & relaxing. The beach is nice with soft sand and a beautiful  view. They work very hard at keeping the beach clean so it always looks  nice. 2 Hot tubs just off the pool on each side, very convenient with the  beach grill and bar just a step from the hot tub. Makes drink refills very  easy to acquire. We loved our trip to N resort and we will be going  back. I am looking forward to returning and see how this place will evolve  and become a great place to vacation. Like you have heard this is not Hedo  but we sure did have some fun during the evening shows after diner, things  that could not have been done in a regular resort….. Everyone we met there  had been to Hedo and was trying this place out and from the people I spoke  with everyone enjoyed this place and was happy to see that they now have a  new option in Jamaica.

J&J
N Resort Dates 5/4/2011 thru 5/11/2011
This was our 1st visit to N. It’s been 3 years since our last visit to Jamaica. GL Braco had been slipping in service so we went elsewhere. With Braco closing there are very few places that we could try and we wanted to return to Jamaica. N was offering what we wanted at a good price so we signed up for a week. This was our 30th trip to Jamaica, most being to Braco and a few being to Hedo and GL Negril. We were looking for a quiet venue and reviews were positive for the most part. We took Jet Blue from Orlando to MoBay about 1hr 45min.

Customs and immigration are much improved, as was baggage. The most irritating part was the waiting for the bus ride as well as the beer stop. Total for this was about 1hr and 30min. I have inquired about a taxi estimate is about $60 to $70 for two. Agree on the price first. A young couple did not and we viewed the major hassle at the front desk on our way to something.

Check In was quick and we were off to room in about 5 minutes. OK First impression was what did we get into. The resort needs maintenance and has lots of plants. Pool area needs work recliners are old shade appears limited as do the number of patrons. As the week went on it did not seem to be as big an item.
Pool View
The grounds were lovely!

Beachfront rooms are clean andspacious. Bed mattress is firm.
Love the Beds!!!!
 Bathroom clean needs work.
Water was hot and pressure usually very good.
Nice Size Shampoo & Conditioner
How cute is this!

A Full Size Bar of Soap
I wish I was this talented.

There is something like a single bed on the Lanai with a firm mattress covered by a clean sheet that is very nice to Relax on in the AM for coffee or after a day at the pool prior to dinner. The constant breeze is wonderful. Very easy to talk with your neighbors. Note. The walls are thin.
Room with a VIEW!
Food. All meals are A La Cart, portion size was very nice, and the food quality preparation and taste good. No worry about going home plus 5 lbs. unless you requested seconds. There were two meals at the Italian restaurant both were very good. Daily breakfast was very nice and the smoothies appeared to be very popular. Lunch by the pool had a variety that included burgers, fries, wraps etc. You would not go hungry. Snacks mostly popcorn were put out about 5 PM.
Yummy to the tummy!
Pool and Hot tubs. Both need work. “Soon Come” The water slide is fun and Leon the “entertainment coordinator”
Andrea Hutchinson Owner of Go Classy Tours & Leon
does try to get the guest involved. If you seek shade the pool area is limited as are the number of umbrellas. We did not have a problem because of the low numbers of guest.
Pool Area
Occupancy. We arrived on May 4 for 7 days. First two days 20 guest. The weekend there was 6 of us. By the following Tuesday total was back up to 20 or 22 with more arrivals due on Thursday. The staff and resort made Mothers Day special with a flower and T-shirt for the ladies. Also, Atlantic salmon was a special addition to the dinner menu that night.

Booze. Lots of the typical rum drinks. There were some good whiskies. I drink Walker Black there was none. When I asked it took a day or so but it became available.
Evening entertainment. Some of the usual stuff fire guy and Big Momma. There were several evenings with musicians that were very good. Not just Reggie but Oldies, Easy Listening, Kenney Rodgers and some country. The guest enjoyed this quite a bit.
Drinks for everyone!
I tried to catch him blowing it out ;)

Thing’s that need to be mentioned. We had booked an Ocean view and were upgraded to a beachfront.

Our return trip to the airport was by Private car very nice.
We walked over to SuperClubs Trelawney Resort to visit Carl, Tamika and Ann Marie Goffe, very old friends from Braco. Nice looking.but!!! No way would I stay, KIDS, NOISE way to many people that do not know what AN is.

Summary. There are a limited number of resorts that offer AN. I hope N can make a go of it. I will be keeping track and may return in November for Thanksgiving. As with most vacations we made new friends and had an enjoyable time. For those that recognize us from the trip report: I hope you all made it home safe and sound.

PS Gym has 2 Treadmills, 3 bikes, and weight machines.
